Meet Libby and Mikey

Our founders, Libby and Mikey created Blanchouse in 2022 when they began selling prints on a market stall in their home town York. It began with a shared love for thoughtful design and meaningful conversation with the people they met. What started as a small idea has grown into something much bigger- a place where community, creativity and connection come together under one roof. 

Libby and Mikey's vision has always been simple; To connect and inspire through culturally driven design that brings travel and creativity into everyday life

From Market Stalls to the High-Street

In 2023, we opened our first brick-and-mortar store — a milestone that transformed not just the Blanchouse journey, but the way people experience and shop for art. What began as a humble market stall has evolved into 2 stores that redefine the traditional gallery or stereotypical print store. We stayed clear from the stark, white-wall aesthetic and created something warmer — a place that feels more like a living room than a showroom. Every corner of our stores are designed to feel inviting, personal, and full of character — just like the art we curate. At Blanchouse, we believe that shopping for art should feel as comfortable and inspiring as the spaces you live in, and our stores reflects that belief in every detail.

Blanchouse remains to hold its roots - still trading through market stalls across London every weekend. Bringing our artwork to life by creating a home on every street corner.
